Protecting Our Sacred City: The Plastic-Free Ayodhya Mission

Ayodhya, the sacred city of Lord Ram, welcomes millions of devotees and pilgrims each month. With this immense influx of visitors comes a pressing environmental challenge: plastic waste accumulation.

To address this critical issue, Help Safety and Care Foundation has spearheaded the 'Plastic-Free Ayodhya' movement across key pilgrim corridors, Saryu Ghats, and surrounding market complexes.

Key Objectives of the Drive:

•Distribution of Eco-Friendly Cloth Bags: Over 25,000 reusable cotton and jute bags distributed free of cost to local vendors, shops, and pilgrims.

•Saryu River Cleanliness Drives: Weekly volunteer clean-up drives along the sacred Saryu riverbanks to prevent non-biodegradable plastics from entering the water ecosystem.

•Awareness & Merchant Engagement: Partnering with temple trusts, dharmshalas, and merchant associations to eliminate single-use carry bags and thermocol tableware.
